Hello to all, I want to wish everyone a Happy New year and hope that 2023 will bring you much prosperity and joy. In trying to keep with that statement Magnacad has its eyes set on making 2023 a very innovative and exciting year. We have many goals and objectives lined up for the coming year and are ready to meet them. We have already implemented some new tools and services that will enhance your experience with Magnacad. Our objectives are primarily to improve and streamline our policies, products, and services. We the advent of a new global branding and core values, everything Magnacad will accomplish this year will have them at the forefront of our mindset. New Stocktbl.txt file in IronCAD

With the release of IroncAD 2022 Produce Update 1, there is a new change to the Stocktbl.txt found in C:Program FilesIronCAD2022AppDataen-usSheetMetal
We have added this line: Comment !!! DO NOT EDIT THE FIRST LINE OF THIS FILE SINCE IT IS USED TO CONTROL CHANGES TO THE FORMATTING
You can copy this new file to the C:Users%USERNAME%AppDataLocalIronCADIRONCAD24.0en-usSheetMetal folder but
please do not edit the first line of that file if you do make edits.
Of course, you can still edit Sheet Metal stock parameters in Options, Stock inside IronCAD.

Remote Assistance Enhanced for Support Customers.
|
|
To all our active support subscribers... we have enhanced our ability to provide remote assistance with any technical issues as well as training requirements. We have implemented a new tool Zoho Assist as our tool of choice to achieve this objective. We have been using many products to achieve this in the past, however they have become cumbersome and unreliable and hence our decision to switch. We have been testing Zoho Assist for several months and have found it to exceed all our expectations.

IronCAD Owners Network Refreshed for 2023

The IronCAD Owners Network (ICON) has been refreshed for 2023 and a new webpage has been created. Last year ICON had been neglected a little due to lingering COVID concerns and other industry issues. So for 2023, which marks ICON's 21st year in existence we will be putting much more effort into making it a priority for our members and customers alike. We welcome all member feedback as how to make ICON a more vital tool to you as an IronCAD user.
The membership consists of members across the globe, so the goal is to make the meetings virtual with an occasional local event for members closer to NY.
Also, we have developed a new ICON Member T-Shirt to help support all our efforts in keeping ICON thriving. Feel free to support us and purchase one (or more). You can order from the ICON webpage.

How to open HEIC files on PC for FREE.
|

Since the release of iOS11 and macOS High Sierra in 2017, HEIC files
have become the standard image format for Apple users across the globe.
What's a HEIC file?
HEIC stands for High Efficiency Image Container. The format is an
updated variant of the High Efficiency Image Format (HEIF),
traditionally used by Apple across its mobile devices.
We have been receiving a lot of HEIC files from people recently and I could not open them on my PC. When I tried I had to upgrade an extension for $0.99. I'm not against spending money, I will spend thousands if there's value, but spending a penny on something that should be free or at least included in a bigger offering bothers me to no end. So all the links that pop up on the web to install a free app do not work. Actually I cannot say for sure because all the links provided were gone or not accessible.
So here is a solution that actually works, simply install GIMP for free and open the HEIC files with GIMP. at that point you can convert them to any usable format desired.
