How do install upgrades to my IronCAD Network license?

So your company is booming and you have the need to purchase more concurrent  IronCAD licenses for growing design and engineering team. Also you need to add some more advanced add-ons to help them.

Below is the workflow to installing software updates to your Network License. This works the same for both commercial and educational network licenses.

How to install new licenses on your Server:

  1. Go to http://services.ironcad.com/activation/ to get your  license file (.pkg file).
  2. Save the PKG file (in case you haven't received from us) to the server.
  3. On your license server:  Start the IronCAD Network License Dongle Manager (right-click the icon and select Run as Administrator)
  4. Stop the Service.
  5. Import the license file.
  6. Start the Service (if it doesn’t start automatically).

On the client PC:

  1. Install any new software or add-ons you have purchased.
  2. Go to C:\Program Files\IronCAD\20XX\bin
  3. Edit the file e4ncli.ini
  4. Enter your server’s IP address in the HOSTADDR entry.
  5.  In some cases you may need to restart your computer in order to reconnect to the server.

Access IP Address:

On the IronCAD computer go to the IronCAD program group and select Net License Configure. This will load a text file that has the servers address.
